we're going to make a loopy bow, but witha little bit of a twist, and we'll call it our figure 8 loopy bow. it's really fun. and so what i'm going to do is, again, takemy mini bowdabra, put my hair bow tool and ruler over my mini bowdabra, take my bowdabrabow wire, i have it folded in half, and i'm
how to make hair bows , just going to tuck it underneath so it staysout of my way. now i have this really nice, thin ribbon. it's wired, which i like because it allowsme to have fun shaping this. so i'm just going to make my loops.
now what makes this different is i'm goingto keep the same side of the ribbon up. so it's like i'm doing a figure 8. so again, i'm keeping this side of the ribboninside of the loop, so i'm running it back around. actually, i'm going to make this about 2 inches,2 1/4 inches. so again, i'm just going to have the insideof my loop so that same ribbon's up. and i'm going to fold that back in here. and i'm going to do the same thing comingback, so the same side of the ribbon is up here, 2 1/4 inches, and bring it back.
and again, we're going to keep doing thisso we have the same ribbon on the inside, and bring it back. and again, we want the ribbon to come thesame on the inside. so it's just you're getting your loop, butyou have what we call our figure 8. so it's the same on the inside. bring it through. and again, we need to keep that same ribbonwith the same side up, bringing it back around. i'm going to keep doing this. and so it gives a really neat texture to yourloops.
i'm going to just finish that there. now i'm going to take my next ribbon, andi'm going to do exactly the same thing. so i'm going to put this down in here. and this ribbon is two-sided ribbon, whichyou need if you're going to do this kind of bow. so now i'm just going to make these loopsa little bit smaller. and again, i'm just going to bring them backin. and the key to this is remember to keep thesame side up. do this again here, keeping the same sideup, bringing it back, doing my figure 8 and
keeping the same side of the ribbon up, comingback through and doing exactly the same thing. the same side of my ribbon is up. do exactly the same thing back. and again, making sure that that ribbon, thesame side is up, looping it back. and we can do one more loop here. and then i'm going to take this ribbon anddo exactly the same thing, keeping the same side of my ribbon up. so essentially we're just doing figure 8's. so we go back here, working it back, again,making sure.
i'm just going to take my wand and scrunchall my ribbon so it stays down in there. and again, just bring this back here. it gives you that really cool look, and it'sso easy to do in your mini bowdabra. so now again i'm just going to - so you cansee how cool these loops look here. i'm just going to scrunch this down in here,take my bowdabra bow wire, bring this through, pull it really tight, bring it out, separatethe ends, bring them around to the back. and i'm going to tie it off. and i'm going to knot it. then what i'm going to do is tie it onto myclip, and i'm going to bring it through here.
actually no, i'm going to bring it here, andi'm going to bring it through from the back, and i'm going to tie a knot here. i'm just going to bring that up there. and then in order for it not to slide, i'mgoing to bring it around the back and then bring it around here. so i'm almost doing a figure 8 again. bring it back through the middle, bring itaround here one more time, one more time through the middle. and then i'm going to go one more time aroundthe end.
so that way my hair bow's going to stay whereit's supposed to, my barrette. and then i'm just going to tie a knot. okay. and then i'm going to clip that. now the next thing that i'm going to do, becausei'm not totally worried about this, is i'm going to take this ribbon here and put a littlebit of glue right on top of it. and i'm going to put that right here ontomy clip. and i'm going to bring it around so it coversup my wire. bring the ribbon back through the clip beingcareful not to burn your fingers.
and i'm going to pull it tight and glue thatdown. and now your bow is covered and everythingis glued. and then we just fluff it, and you have anabsolutely adorable loopy bow.
